Solar cookers

Question:

Hello there. Hope I’m in a suitable place. I’m interested in making a solar cooker to be used in the south of England. Anyone know of any good sources of information? Would I be able to convert an old camping cool box? Any info’ or constructive advice welcomed. Paul

… Try some of the following… http://www.solarcooking.org/ http://www.knowledgehound.com/topics/solarcoo.htm http://www.exoticblades.com/tamara/sol_cook/ http://frugalliving.about.com/cs/solarcooking/ http://www.homepower.com/files/solarcookers.pdf http://www.solarcook.com/ http://www.permapak.net/faq.htm Also the book: Cooking With the Sun : How to Build and Use Solar Cookers by Beth & Dan Halacy > Would I be able to convert an old camping cool box?

I’m assuming that you are referring to one of those plastic and foam insulated boxes used with ice. I doubt the plastic or foam will survive the temperatures of an oven very well. Anthony
