Help – who makes them…
Question:
Check with Cabela’s. Look at the Alaskan Outfitter. About $700 with the aluminum poles. A pretty good tent. Steve

I think Cabella’s has some like that. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some other places, but can’t recall any names. I think I’ve also seen some that have tunnels that attach to the main dome. Some of the triple dome tents are good (Cabella’s look pretty good) and some look so cheap that I’d not want to be in them in mild rain and 20 mph winds. — rbc: vixen Fairly harmless remove invalid or hit reply to email. I hate to sound like a spam artist for them if you are looking for a cheap tent that does that, I think Walmart has em….. I know I bought a NICE 20×13 there for just over 150 and we have used it all summer (well, up until my heart attack, now we RV and let guests use the tent)

I’ts probably from Costco. They are super cheap tents, and while they may serve your needs for a family, I wouldn’t expect them to keep you dry in a real storm, or to take the beating a family can dish out. But you didn’t ask for my opinion, just where to get them.

My family and I were camping in the NH White Mountains earlier this summer and we saw a particular type of tent that my wife and I now think that we would like to buy. The problem is – we didn’t look at the brand of this tent and after searching the web, I have not been able to find anything that looks like what we saw. What we saw (and we did see several): A fairly large dome tent with up to two smaller domes that attached by zipper. The smaller domes could be un-zipped from the main one and used alone. After thinking about this we thought this type of arrangement would be great with kids. Has anyone seen a tent like this? Who makes it and where is it sold? Thanks, Michael Jackson
