That was pretty vague … the article, that is. "Dimond continues, "Any time you have a police investigation like this, they’ll sit the child down and say, tell us specific things. In this case, I’m told they asked, ‘Did you see any pornography?’ or some such question. And the accuser in this case said there was a suitcase full of pornography used to sort of get the mood right, and by gosh, when they went into Neverland, I’m told they found the suitcase in the exact location the child said."" According to this, they found the suitcase, but it doesn’t say anything about porn being in it other than the accuser saying it had porn in it. Did they find it full of porn, or what? Not only that, she said "I’m told …" Question is: Told by who? I had a palm reader tell me that I was going to be rich … should I put any stock in that? Even if they did find porn in the suitcase, what does that prove, unless there was child porn in it? It proves that MJ has porn … no more, no less. Who’s to say that this kid just didn’t go snooping through his house and found MJ’s stash that he kept in a suitcase to keep it away from kids? I have to see evidence before I convict someone. Stan and Ricky Icantgetanameright, I think the whole point of some (here) keeping reservations as to guilt/innocence is based on a faith in a system of justice (even if it sometimes fails in favor of the accused) that one is entitled to his/her day in court to be judged by a jury of ones peers with some semblance of order. Regardless of the distastefulness of the particular offense. To be convicted by a jury of newsgroup participants don’t count. Even when hearing/reading "expert testimony" posted by a person living in the same town that "heard" second hand accounts in a local coffee shop that incriminate the accused. As much as the present day media wants the rating #’s, their "expert analysts" are perverting the process by wanting to hold a 24/7 trial in advance of the real deal. We all have opinions of O.J and that circus, had the cop not planted the glove and the media not created the celebrity status of the principles involved in the case, the outcome could have been different.(we’ll never know now)…..Scott Peterson’s "day in court" stands a good chance of being tainted the same way…… If we do not strictly adhere to these basic principals, the quickest alternative tends to be vigilante law, and "trials" will be conducted in the cold of the night while strung to a barb wire fence, where the justice is discovered in the morning. Or from the back of a pick-up where the punishment is decapitation-by-culvert!!!! I’m sure that is not what you guys are suggesting our system of "justice" should become is it? ‘Cause I have heard some stories goin’ ’round involving YOU!….That would put the shoe on the other foot wouldn’t it? With certain people in this group, it is written down by themselves. So you can’t use that bedraggered "I heard stories going around…." with me – I never wrote anything down in support of MJ. I bring up certain individuals in this group because it is something that THEY wrote. I never based anything on anything else. Show me where I did??? I don’t take what kp or the others said as siding with him at all…..I think you drew that conclusion from the concept that they will choose to support the idea of a legal trial and would wait ’till he had his day…..then decide……You’re entitled to your assumptions, and they could be correct….but being "featured on KFI 640am in Los Angeles this A.M. THat’s a big misconception, there … I’m not going to wait until they have a trial. If I see *evidence* (accusation isn’t enough) that he is a molester, then AFAIC, he’s guilty, whether or not the courts find the same. Take a look at OJ … he’s guilty, I don’t care what the courts said. There was more than enough evidence to put him away, but some had to screw it up to get him off on a technicalities, and I’m sure it also had a lot to do with LA’s fear it would set off a riot.
