Maho Bay accomadations
Question:
In October, I’ll be staying in the Maho Bay eco resort. Never tried eco-lodging it before, so we’ll see how I like it. I’m about to make the reservations, and do not know if I can select a particular tent-cottage. Any advice on Maho Bay?

It was too much like camping for me, but I’m glad I gave it a shot. > I’m about to make the reservations, and do not know if I can select a > particular tent-cottage. Any advice on Maho Bay?
Bring bug spray and, unless you’re a particularly early riser, earplugs and a sleeping mask. When I was there, the birds started SCREAMING (not chirping, mind you) at dawn, and there are not really adequate shades to keep the light out. (The birds settle down after about ten-fifteen minutes, but by that time, the damage was done for me.) Probably not a bad idea to buy some small, packaged snacks – protein bars, individual pretzel packs, etc – and bottled water. You’ll also want some waterproof sandals – flip-flops or something more sturdy – for the walk to the beach and for the public showers. Enjoy, Leigh
