No-Start Question (long trip?)
Question:
Hi everyone; you all must remember me, the guy with the random no-start problem with his 1996 Geo Metro sedan. It’s been about a month since the problem last occurred, and even when it did all I had to do was pop the car into neutral, let it roll down the driveway, and then jam on the brakes hard to shake the car up, and it started again… Anways, that’s besides the point. I have to wait for the problem to persist before it’ll be reparable… My question is this; I’d like to go camping with some friends, but that’ll involve a drive pretty far away from home, and I’m not sure if my random no-start problem could become an issue while out on the road. I don’t want that to happen since where we’re going it far from a service center and I simply wouldn’t be able to afford a long distance tow; plus it’d pretty much ruin the trip too. So, what’s everyone’s professional opinion? Should I trust the car for the trip? OR should I play it safe and see if we can arrange something else? Thanks once again, Tyler

Don’t use your car. That’s all. Otherwise, you’ll be like me. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Hi everyone; you all must remember me, the guy with the random no-start > problem with his 1996 Geo Metro sedan. > It’s been about a month since the problem last occurred, and even when it > did all I had to do was pop the car into neutral, let it roll down the > driveway, and then jam on the brakes hard to shake the car up, and it > started again… > Anways, that’s besides the point. Why, what happened to you on a trip? :-) Not a fun experience I assume? Tyler
